Rick Tomsic - Founder and President

As president and founder of Open E Cry, Rick Tomsic oversees all operations of the Open E Cry online trading application that was developed especially for active online traders.

Rick earned his BBA Degree in Finance from Kent State University. He began his business career in the energy industry as a manager of new business development for Electronic Data Systems, Inc. (EDS). He later entered the investment industry working as an Account Executive with a firm specializing in S&P futures, and OEX Index options.

Using the experience he gained from these positions he founded and opened Paragon Trading, Inc., in April of 1996. To expand his business, Paragon Trading, Inc., was split into two companies in early 1999: Navis Capital Management, which is currently registered as a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) and Commodity Pool Operator (CPO) under the Commodity Exchange Act, and Paragon Futures Group, Inc. an Independent Introducing Broker. Open E Cry, LLC was formed in January 2002 and is registered as a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) with the National Futures Association (NFA) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Rick was unhappy with the usability of other online futures trading platforms. So he decided to develop Open E Cry to meet the specific needs of futures traders. Open E Cry encompasses Rick's and other top futures traders' years of futures trading experience. Rick wanted an online trading application that would contain features not found in other applications currently available on the market. He also wanted it to meet the user's main requirements of speed, reliability and ease of use. He achieved those goals.

Family is a priority in Rick's life. He spends his time away from his office enjoying time with his wonderful wife and three children. Community involvement is also important to him. He is an active member of Grace Brethren Church.

Open E Cry is a Powell, Ohio based business. It brings all the best of the trading platforms into one trading software, providing its users with the ability to concentrate on trading decisions and not waste time fumbling among cumbersome software.
